The 2019 XC season is just two short weeks from taking flight. The Lady Warriors and Warriors will begin on August 24th by traveling to Lafayette for the Macon County Invitational. This race enables both the veterans as well as the “newbies” to scratch off some experience before racing at the huge Voyles Classic. This race on August 31st will feature about 80 high school teams from across the midstate. It is held at the prestigious Hermitage in Nashville.
This year’s roster includes many freshmen girls, who will be counted on to step up early and often. The Lady warriors are anchored by All-Midstate Hannah Dye and a very strong junior teammate in Emily Groves. Will the freshmen carry on their middle school success? Only time will tell.
The boy’s roster has much more experience on its side. Despite losing two very good runners because of rezoning, the guys boast a solid core. Led by Senior all everything Eli Cramer, the Warriors look for two very talented freshmen to compliment the returning varsity runners.
Go Warrior XC !!!
