Pitching By Kaylee Shuts Out Summit, Riverdale Warriors Varsity Takes The Win
Kaylee Hewitt shut down Summit, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Riverdale Warriors Varsity to a 1-0 victory on Friday
The pitching was strong on both sides. Hewitt struck out six, while #11 sat down two.
One bright spot for Summit was a single by #11 in the first inning.
Hewitt earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Riverdale Warriors Varsity. She allowed five hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out six and walking zero.
#11 took the loss for Summit. She lasted five innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out two.
Kendall Forsythe, Brooklynn Ott, Macy Murphy, and Hewitt each collected one hit to lead Riverdale Warriors Varsity. Riverdale Warriors Varsity was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Taylor Worley made the most plays with six.
#5 led Summit with two hits in two at bats. Summit didn’t commit a single error in the field. #11 had four chances in the field, the most on the team.
